Description: Introductary cousre to the art program.  Focuses on the art od elements, principles of design, gaphic arts, and color theory.
Illustration 1-One-Year Course #02062
Open to Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: none. Lab fee $25 required
Description: Builds on skills learned in art 1.  Designed to develop the students' art, drawing, and storytelling skills for the exciting challenge of the commercial art world
Art 2-One-Year Course #02032
Prerequisite: Art 1 and approval. Lab fee $35 required
Description: For students who have completed one year of Art with "C" or better.   This class offers drawing, painting, design, art history, and a limited amount of sculpture.
Art 3-One-Year Course #02033
Open to Grades 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: "C" or better in Art 2 or GATE Art. Lab fee $35 required
Description: Students will advance drawing ability and skills with various medium.
Drawing Animation-One-Year Course #02078
Prerequisite: Art 1 Lab fee $25 required
Description: Provides students with a basic understanding of vocabulary, techiques, use of tools and equiptment, and the skills and foundations of drawing animation.
Graphic Design-One-Year Course #30004

Prerequisite: Art 1 or teacher approval.  Lab fee $25 required
Description: Students will learn to create copy-layouts, magazines, newspapers, television product packages, letterheads, brochures, and organizational logos and icons.
Life Drawing-One-Year Course #02073
Open to Grades 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Illustration or Art 1.  Lab fee $25 required.
description: This course teaches careful study in drawing of the human and animal figure, with literal abstract interpretation. Through observation and drawing from live models (clothed) and animals figure structure, composition, and painting are emphasized.
Sculpture 1-One-Year Course #02060

Description: This course is for further understanding and appreciation of three demensional art.  Students will use clay, plaster, wood, metal, and stone to discover new, and imaginative ways of expression in three dimensional form.
Sculpture 2-One-Year Course #02061

Prerequisite: Scultpture 1. Lab fee $25 required
Description: This course is an extension of the skills and techniques developed in sculpture 1.  Projects will require the students to work at a more independent and mature level.
Ap Studio Art-One-Year Course #02070

Description: This course follows the outline set forth by the College Board.   Advanced students work on breadth of skills in both materials and concepts.
Photography 1-One-Year Course #02055

Description: An introductory course in photography.  The course focuses on introduction techniques, principles of design, and the appreciationfor recognized good photography.
