It is with great pleasure and pride that we offer this report card, which
is designated to give a snapshot of Lancaster High School. The entire

finest services possible to our students. Of primary importance are the
academic growth of students, their preparation for life-long learning, and
their development into effective thinkers and communicators. Students are

A sense of community is provided that extends beyond the classroom as we
encourage our businesses and parents to be an active part of our

API Scores
1999:
627,
2000: 623

Students'
academic progress is tracked through multiple assessments. In
addition to classroom subject area assessments all students in the
district were assessed using the Stanford 9 Test as part of the
state-mandated STAR Program requiring annual assessment of students
in grades 2-11. Students also take a variety of Golden State Exams,
Advanced Placement (AP) Exams, ASVAB, PSAT, SAT/ACT and the
district's writing assessment.
Though
LnHS students continue to score at or above district, county and
state averages, the staff is developing strategies to improve scores
in all areas with an emphasis on reading. Disaggregated data
recently made available will identify groups of students and grade
levels needing extra assistance in achieving success on this exam. |
