History of AFJROTC at Lancaster High School

History of AFJROTC at Lancaster High School Air Force JROTC can trace its roots back to 1966 when 20 units opened in the United States. Since then, it has grown to an impressive 865 units and 105,000 cadets worldwide. The Air Force JROTC unit at Lancaster High School was founded in 2001 with over 300 cadets by SMSgt.Hood, one of the unit s ASIs (Aerospace Science Instructors) SMSgt.Hood was one of the first instructors at the time with few cadets. Since then, CA-20014 has grown tobe the number one unit in all of California..We have two additional instructors, CMSgt Melvin and Col.Sullivan. Also, the family of cadets has grown remarkably to include just under 300 cadets, which is approximately 10% of the entire school population! The story of CA-20014 will forever continue to develop as an infinite number of cadets enter and exit our doors.
