PARENT PAGE

Welcome Parents!  There are many opportunities to become involved at Lancaster High School.  We have a very active Parent Volunteer Program.  To join you must be 21 years of age and go through an extensive background check.  When you come in to fill out an application, please bring with you a current Driver’s License or CA Identification Card and proof of TB clearance.  These documents along with the completed application will be forwarded to our District Office.  They will contact you to schedule an appointment for your Live Scan (fingerprinting).  Please be advised that there will be a $32.00 fee for your Live Scan payable by cashier’s check or money order. Once you have received security clearance from the DOJ and our Board of Directors, an ID badge will be issued to you at Lancaster High School.

Here are some of the areas and activities we need volunteers:

 ACADEMIC AWARDS NIGHT
CLASSROOM
CAREER CENTER
CHAPERONING
COPYING
ECONOMIC SUMMIT
FILING
REGISTRATION
TEST PROCTORING
YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION
AND LOTS MORE

As a valued member of our school family, your input is very important to us.  You are invited to meet with our principal, Mr. Radford, other parents and community members at our Parent Advisory Council Meetings.  They are held on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in our Staff Lounge as Mr. Radford’s schedule allows.  Please use the front entrance by the flag pole.
For more information, please contact Val Holt, Coordinator of Volunteers at (661) 726-7649, ext. 127 or email vholt@avhsd.org

We thank you and look forward to hearing from you soon!
