Can’t wait to see everybody at our second Link Crew meeting on Thursday August 27th in room 408, Mr. Garcia’s room 6:30 a.m. sharp! Remember to wear your Link shirts unless you are dressing up as a Barbie for spirit week, which we highly encourage you to participate in and we hope you encourage freshmen to do so as well. Spirit Week – Monday is mismatch day; Tuesday is twin day; Wednesday is senior citizen day; Thursday is Barbie day; Friday is spirit day! Continue to greet your freshmen in the hallways and set a great example for other upperclassmen! The gym was unavailable for the Link Dance this time around, but we will be planning a dance for the near future. The following are things to consider for the upcoming meeting. If you are wanting to get more involved in Link and want to run for a commissioner position start typing up a 200 word statement or less of why you would be great as a commissioner and what ideas you have to contribute to the position. Commissioner positions are: Commissioner of Fundraising/Public Relations (2); Commissioner of Activities (2); Commissioner of Freshmen Classroom Lessons (2). Keep in mind that as a commissioner you will be meeting with us on a weekly basis before or after school (for approximately an hour) to hold meetings and plan events. Also please start thinking about what you will be writing on your thank you notes for the T-shirts that will be given out to the teachers you designated as leaders in your life. A reminder if you haven’t checked in with us from the last meeting, please do so promptly. Great work so far being leaders and giving a strong welcome to the freshmen during the pep rally and the first weeks of school! Always encourage others to do the same! Go Link Crew!
Freshmen:
Welcome freshmen! If you have not received a phone call from a Link Leader or are not sure whether or not you have one, please stop by room 214 or room 408 after school to sign-up. Link leaders are juniors and seniors designated to you to help show you the ropes on how to be successful in high school. They are a great resource for your high school success and are very eager to meet you! Remember, the Link Crew leaders are the ones in the red shirts and anytime they are wearing them, it usually means there is a big event going on that Link will be attending and would love for you to join!
