Spanish 1-One-Year Course #02313
Open to Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: "C" or better in English
Description: A college prep class which consists of a series of linguistic activities and cultural topics which will enable the students to communicate about daily activities at a survival level.  At the end of this course students will be able to understand, speak, read, and write about high frequency expressions and phrases. 
Spanish 2-One-Year Course #02314
Open to Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: "C" or better in Spanish 1 or pass a Spanish 1 Assessment Test and Teacher recommendation
Description: This course consists of a series pf linguistic activities and cultural topics which enables the students to communicate about daily activities at a functional level.  
Spanish 3-One-Year Course #02315
Open to Grades 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: "C" in Spanish 2 or pass a Spanish Assessment Test and teacher recommendation
Description: This course consists of a series pf linguistic activities and cultural topics which enables the students to communicate about daily activities at a functional level.   At the end of the course the student will be able to understand, speak, read, and write about daily activities and make themselves understood by a sympathetic speaker of Spanish.
Spanish AP-One-Year Course #02318
Open to Grades 11, 12
Prerequisite: Teacher approval
Description: This course is taught entirely in Spanish and is designed to help students achieve satisfactory grades on the AP test.  All grammatical aspects of the language will be reviewed and the use of idiomatic spanish will be encouraged. Spanish prose will be used to illustrate and/or practice vocabulary and grammar.   A passing grade on the test is worth up to six college credits, depending on the university.
Spanish for Spanish Speakers-One-Year Course #02317
Open to Grades 9, 10, 11
Prerequisite: proficient in speaking Spanish
Description: This course is taught entirely in Spanish. A Spanish course especially for students who have Spanish speaking proficiency and are too advanced for Spanish 1 or Spanish 2.  The course objectives are to improve writing skills and build on communication skills of those students who are in Spanish speaking environments.
Spanish for Spanish Speakers 2 - One Year Course #________
Open to grades 10, 11, and 12.
Prerequisite: Spanish for Spanish Speakers 1, or Spanish 2 with a "B" or better, teacher recommendation and pass an assesment test.
Description: This course is taught entirely in Spanish and is especially for students who have advanced Spanish speaking and writing skills Course objectives are to further develop and refine spanish speaking, reading and writing skills and to expose students to a variety of literature and an overview of history and culture from various Spanish speaking countries.
