Contemporary Multimedia Design 1
Students learn: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, Garageband, iMovie
This one-year course is an integration of communication skills and artistic proficiencies using contemporary media arts as a focus. Students will create logos, webpages, animation, photo galleries, and video. The applications used in the class will include; Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver.  This course is a College Prep Elective, it meets the UC requirements for Art credit and is also articulated at AVC.
This integrated curriculum forms a solid groundwork from which students may build upon in Multimedia Contemporary Design 2. This multimedia class has been structured to reflect the California Challenge Standards for Visual Arts and the National Education Technology Standards.
This course is a college prep class that earns UC credit.

Contemporary Multimedia Design II
Students learn: Garageband, Logic, Audacity, Pro Tools, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Adobe CS4
This second-year course is an integration of communication skills and artistic proficiencies using contemporary media arts as a focus.
Students will increase their learning and skills creating logos, webpages, photo galleries, and videos. The applications used in the class will include; Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver, Garageband, Logic Pro and Pro Tools. This class will strengthen students background in visual communication, as well as technology used in digital audio workstations. You will be exposed to the technology of digital music recording and sequencing, music mixing and production, and digital artwork for CD’s.
You will be exposed to the use of audio equipment and the application of production techniques and aesthetics in electronic media, and production skills through hands-on experience with mixing boards, digital audio workstations, keyboard controllers, control surfaces and microphones.
This multimedia class has been structured to reflect the California Challenge Standards for Visual Arts and the National Education Technology Standards.
This course is a college prep class that earns UC credit.
Prerequisite: Contemporary Multimedia Design 1 and/or instructor permission.

Multimedia III - Business Economics (Eagle Graphix)
Students will run and operate and Graphic Design business on campus.
This curriculum will integrate Economics and Business Management by presenting Economic concepts within the context of a school-based entrepreneurial business.  Students will learn complex economic competencies such as supply and demand, opportunity cost, marginal cost, scarcity, equilibrium price and quantity, and economic growth while producing valuable products for the school and the community.  Business management concepts will be addressed as well through this project-based, hands-on curriculum.  The business will require that students develop a pricing strategy for their goods and services, create a business plan to follow and modify as needed, and analyze financial records and documentation that they have developed themselves as part of the business operations.
