Mr. Greg Cate -Science Cub Advisor
Science Club is a wonderful club full of fieldtrips, laughs, and fun. Right now the club is planning a trip to Knott's Berry Farm for physics day. Later in the year, they plan on going to Devil's Punchbowl, and Sea World to spend the night. Founded in 2000, the Science Club participates in most on-campus activities like club day and Adopt-a-Quad.
This is Mr. Cate's first year as advisor (the previous advisor was Mary O'Connell) and he is enjoying working with students that love science and love learning. But that isn't why most people come. "Last year I came because my friend begged me to," says Brittany. "Now I come because I can hang out with other cool people." Laura, another club member, says "I love seeing all of the animals in Mr. Cate's room. He has hamsters, rats, and a snake." When asked about where the club was going, Ashley, last year's president, said, "The club is really progressing. I see us doing more things now than we've ever done in the past."
