| Accounting-One-Year Course #04101 Open to Grade(s): 10, 11, 12 Prerequisite: One year of High School math Description: This course will proide opportunities for each student to gain knowledge, skills, and occupational information to assist the student in his/her personal life, future occupation and/or further his education. Accounting teaches the student to keep a simple set of books in a systematic order. The student should become familiar with writing checks, making deposits, endorsing checks, reconciling a bank statement, and payroll preparation. Students will use office machines and calculators commonly found in the office today. |

Students will examine workplace attitudes that are desired by employers, explore resouces for making career decisions, and use skills learned in financial managementto understand the basic financial operations of businesses. Much of the course work will require students to do asignments on a microcomputer. |

#05174 Open to Grade(s): 9, 10, 11, 12 Prerequisite: none Description: This course id designed to help students prepare for careers in computer animation. Students will use the computer for most of their assignments. Students will learn how to plot, script, storyboard, present, and create animated stories. Students will create original characters, create backgrounds, position lights, and direct their characters all using the computer. Students will study careers available in computer animation. |
| Computer Illustration-One-Year Course
#02080 Open to Grade(s): 10, 11, 12 Prerequisite: Knowledge of computer operating systems. Art1, Drawing for Illustration, or Graphic Design strongly suggested. Description: This course emphasizes graphic design using the computer as the media. Students will use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create works of art. |
| Digital Imaging-One-Year Course #22027 Open to Grade(s): 10, 11, 12 Prerequisite: Any high School computer class Description: Digital Imaging is a course designed to give a student skills in the creation of images using a pixel or bitmapped based computer application sufficient to continue training at any of the number of advanced institutions. The student will work with the equipment and processes of digital photography, using computers and digital photo equipment. This course does not include chemical photography. |
| Advaced Technology Projects-One-Year
Course #05174 Open to Grade(s): 10, 11, 12 Prerequisite: "B" or better in Computer Graphics Publications and/or Computer Multimedia and teacher approval. Description: Advanced Technology is an entrepreneurial course that allows students to run a school based, student run desktop publishing/media creation business. This course will build on the design and technical skills and principles learned in Computer Graphic Publication and/or Computer Multimedia and allow students and allow students to experience "real-world" graphic and digital production while providing the school and community with technology-based products. Students will produce products such as certificates, plaques, stationary, business cards, programs, multimedia presentations, digital CD portfolios, and resumes. Students will also provide business services for the class/business such as record keeping, inventory control, budgeting, financial planning and marketing. |
| Webmasters-One-Year Course #05174 Open to Grade(s): 10, 11, 12 Prerequisite: Freshman LnHS Microsoft office orientation, basic keyboarding class, or basic computer skills. Description: This couse will explore the development, implementation, and maintenance of a World Wide Web Site. The classroom's atmosphere will be that of a newsroom. Students will work in groups managed by fellow classmates, overseen by a student website manager. Students will learn many skills, such as those involved with page creation, graphics and image manipulation. |
